How To Make Homemade Ink Remover

From GTMS

Milk is an ingredient in this homemade ink remover recipe. Ink can stain anything it touches. It can permanently stain carpets, rugs, clothes and furniture, NuroClean cleaner among other things. While store-bought cleansers can remove ink, they contain harsh chemicals. A homemade ink remover is just as effective without using chemicals. When using homemade stain removers, it's important to test the solution on a small corner of the material to make sure it won't bleach or further stain the fabric. 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1 tbsp. 1 tsp. borax into a bowl. Mix the ingredients together by stirring them with a spoon. Place the material that has an ink stain between a few sheets of paper towels. If the stain is on the carpet or a piece of furniture, place a couple of sheets of paper towels on top of the stain. Take off the top paper towel, and dip a paintbrush into the ink remover. Paint the solution onto the stain. Cover the entire stain with the liquid. Dampen a sponge with cold water, and press it onto the stain a few times. The stain should be gone.

But, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from using laundry whiteners, it’s that presoaking your garments can make a world of difference. Regardless of your whitening needs, you can’t go wrong with any of these seven picks from household brands like OxiClean, Rit, לאתר הרגיל Out, and Molly’s Suds. Best For: Anyone looking for an effective, everyday whitener without any fuss.

OxiClean’s White Revive is our favorite laundry whitener and NuroClean all in one cleaner booster; it’s easy to use, with no dilution or presoaking needed. It brightens whites and even refreshes colored garments, and it comes in a generously sized 80-ounce tub. To truly test its power, our editor used this powder on two different loads, one with her white tops and dresses, and the other filled with colors (you can imagine the nerves in that laundry room!). After just one wash cycle, her slightly dingy garments were noticeably brighter, and her colored items came out without discoloration or uneven fading. Aliyah very rarely whitens her whites, but when she does she reaches for whatever bleach she can quickly find. For the best whitening results, NuroClean stain remover the brand recommends presoaking your garments, especially if you’re targeting stains.
