The Performance Director is a role that was formally adopted after FSAE Michigan 2025 that is primarily responsible for leading and working with other members of the team towards the development of both the vehicle and driver performance over the course of the year in preparation for the upcoming FSAE Michigan Competition.
The Performance Director is primarily responsible for — but not limited to — the collection and analysis of car data, driver development, testing documentation, test-day planning, year-long testing schedule planning, car tuning, vehicle dynamic analysis, damper / spring maintenance, track design, etc.
